What is BIAB?
BIAB stands for Builder in a Bottle. It's a soft builder gel brushed over your own nails to make them stronger.
Unlike acrylics, there are no fake tips. It works with your natural nails for a glossy, natural finish. Wear it sheer, coloured, French, or with nail art.
What is BIAB made from?
At J.A.G Studio, I use BIAB by The GelBottle, the brand behind the original Builder in a Bottle.
BIAB is a soft gel, similar to gel polish but thicker and stronger. It's made from gel resins that stay liquid in the bottle, then harden when cured under a UV or LED lamp.
Once cured, it forms a tough but flexible layer that moves naturally with your nail, which is why it's less likely to crack or snap.
Unlike acrylics, there's no powder-and-liquid mix, no strong smell, and no heavy filing, making it a gentler option for your natural nails.
